What to do in an Emergency

The first thing is to call 911 if someone is being hurt or in danger. Some people do not want to call 911 but you have a responsibility to protect anyone who is being hurt so do not wait to call 911.

The Bible says that the police are the servants of God, so call them if you need them.

Do not forget that God said, "I am always with you."

Do NOT live in this crisis alone. Yes, it is embarrassing to ask for help but why let your pride get in the way of getting some help? Call a friend or your pastor and ask for prayer.

If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:33

God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tested more than what you are able to handle.
1 Cor. 10:13

As soon as you can, read something from the Bible (especially Psalms)
and take some notes about what God shows you.

You might try getting a piece of paper out and make two columns:

Write "What can I learn from this?" in one column, and "Things that I do not understand" in the other column. Pray about these things and ask God to show you the answer.

Some people say that you should never ask "Why?" That is not true,
God tells you to ask Him for wisdom about things you do not understand.

The main thing to know is that God wants you to live by faith and not by sight.
He wants you to trust Him and not your own wisdom about this problem.
